Biography

Adam was born and raised in Georgia. He grew up in a Christian home and remembers attending church very young. In 1980 after his church's Vacation Bible School he gave his life to Christ. He enjoyed being a part of the Boy Scouts and appreciated his Father being his Scoutmaster for many years. After completing High School he attended LeTourneau University, located in Longview, Texas, where he earned a Bachelor degree in Aviation Technology and received his pilot and aircraft mechanics certificates. It was not long after becoming a Christian that he had a desire to “reach the lost”, however Adam did not see himself becoming a Missionary. In his mind a Missionary was someone that had a machete in one hand and a Bible in the other, hacking a trail through the jungle and preaching to Pigmies. It was close family friends that God used to show Adam that although it is important that every Christian be able to share their faith, we are not all called to carry a machete: there were different ways to serve God. After short term trips to South America, Mexico and Alaska, God reaffirmed His desire for Adam's life to serve with the talents and gifts he was given. In 1995 Adam had an opportunity to go back to Alaska for 3½ years and be a Pilot/ Mechanic for Voice for Christ Ministries (VFCM), a mission organization that operates radio stations throughout Alaska.
Lyndy was born in California and had lived most of her life in Washington State. In 1987 Lyndy gave her life to Christ while visiting her Grandparents in Ohio. Her family was brought back to church and ultimately to Christ as a result of her sister attending a Vacation Bible School at a church near their home. Lyndy was fortunate to be able to attend a Community College in lieu of her last two years of High School and within months of graduating from High School, completed an Associate's degree. As with Adam, Lyndy felt God's call to the mission field early in her life. It was 1995 that she heard the Director of VFCM speaking from the church's pulpit making known the need for workers in Alaska. Within months she was in Alaska serving as a “DJ” on the radio.
It was in Alaska that God really began to work in both Adam's and Lyndy's life. Besides the importance of the two of them meeting there and getting married in 1996, God showed them the incredible need for Christ in the bush of Alaska. The exposure of having their voices on the radio led to opportunities to befriend both believers and nonbelievers, these new relationships usually led to invitations to visit and enjoy rare fellowship. However, this showed Adam and Lyndy how unprepared they were for the ministry God had placed before them. They did not feel equipped to confidently answer the questions presented and their responsibilities with VFCM often made it difficult to spend extended amounts of time in the bush. In 1999 (after fulfilling their commitment to VFCM,) Adam and Lyndy attended the training program of The Master's Mission (TMM). Part of TMM's philosophy is to lead others to Christ through personal relationships, establish Christian families through discipleship, and biblically train church leaders. This is exactly the way God has called Adam and Lyndy to minister in Alaska and they have returned to Alaska as TMM Missionaries.
Adam and Lyndy completed the yearlong training of TMM in December 1999. The year 2000 was spent traveling across the US on deputation and preparing for their return to Alaska in the spring of 2001. God has blessed Adam & Lyndy with three daughters; Sabrina, Miriam and Natalie. The entire family now travels through the central interior of Alaska sharing the Gospel with those that have few if any other means of hearing it.
